Nothing to apologize for, I appreciate this post a lot. Your perspective is showing me a lot of things I didn't know about before (I didn't know "Vatican 2" was a thing, for example, or what a "childrens crusade" was) and I appreciate having this perspective.

I have nothing to add, only a "thank you for posting, this is a very good post"

Yeah, I follow them for news but it's increasingly just long rants about the malicious forces conspiring against them. The cited attacks are just... Milquetoast criticism.

I installed Graphene on my phone and like the OS but I think I'll be using Calyx next time.

It's a concern though, because it feels like just mentioning GrapheneOS can summon the developer. Maybe the evil forces conspiring against GrapheneOS was the friends we made along the way.

I totally forgot it was easter. I guess there is some relevance. I can understand why the lore of the pope makes him a big deal (jesus's nth-removed best friend!), and the whole "easter, jesus, death" think.

I've worked indirectly with a church of radical leftist catholics (this is not an exaggeration, these guys fucking rule) but I don't know how large the fraction of catholicism they represent.

I very much want a reason to have optimism for the world, and these thoughts gave me new things to consider which adjust me a small notch more optimistic. The positive delta for hope for humanity is not much, but we've been increasingly starved for such positive deltas for so long that this small morsel feels like a feast.

In all sincerity, I think "haha i'm pretending to be shitty as a joke" can make space for people being shitty. And it still sucks to see, say, "I love being a racist" or "I hate the transes lol!" even if it's clearly the start of a critique.

But there's a lot of value in satire in critique, and I don't think it necessarily requires a clarity of intent and purpose and blah blah blah. It's okay to be satirical and for it not to land-- it'd be un-Justpostian to say otherwise.

I guess what I mean to say is, I am curious about your test, and I would like to emphasize how important it is to Just Post

I use C# for work and it blows my mind how bad the state of the C# LSP is. I don't understand how Microsoft made C# and the LSP open protocol (to make VSC popular but also genuinely uplifted all other IDEs), and I can barely use C# in any editor that isn't named "Visual Studio" or "Visual Studio Code".

GDScript is just dandy and has gotten a looooot more ergonomic since 3.0, I am a fan of it. I know C# pretty well now and I still prefer GDScript in every case.

I have to admit, I can't think of anything since Steven Universe. I might have grown out of it?

She-Ra was fun, and the new ATLA probably will be too, but there's a tone of maturity and sincerity that SU hit that I haven't seen again.

That said, I have watched Gumball, and it's fucked up. It's a totally different thing but I can get easily engrossed in it, and I'm often shocked by how edgy it can be. (In one episode, the main characters perform actual surgery on another character, killing him!)
