If it helps, the way I went vegan was once I decided I was going to do it I looked up easy vegan recipes and practiced making them for a few months while still also eating the things I used to eat, and also started swapping the snacks I ate with vegan equivalents. After like 4-5 months I had a bunch of recipes I was comfortable with and knew what vegan products I liked, so I had one final goodbye meal at my favourite fried chicken place, and then officially "went vegan" and haven't gone back since. Learning how to make a lot of vegan food while still eating meat makes it a lot easier to eventually make the switch. I did get some pretty bad meat cravings for the first like month or two, but they do go away eventually.

The fact that it's already my middle name does make it easier if i end up deciding to swap them afterall. I only last year finished up getting my name legally changed to Jennifer on all my legal documents and IDs so i don't really want to go through all that again so soon, if I do change to Ruby I'll probably leave Jennifer as my legal name and just go by my middle, maybe get it all changed again in a few years if it sticks

Genuinely I have done this, some of them are more story focused than you would think. Like there's the "Crumpling paper into a microphone" type ASMR, the "Short little 10 minute scenario" type ASMR, and then there's this one channel I follow that is doing like 18 episode long one-person gay audio dramas
