the presentation of politics as entertainment really annoys me for whatever reason. it feels like an empty power fantasy to imagine that these political figures would be affected negatively by anything at all.
my mom loooves those videos where some youtube guy dramatically talks about how some political fartman really got put in his place, no really, for real this time. they don't care! they will never care. there's so many layers of power and money separating them from any sort of consequences.
its pitiful, desperate magical thinking to entertain any of these charlatans for even a brief moment. spending all that emotional energy on shit-tier infotainment is worse than useless
fortunately shes not like, hardcore conspiracy theory out there. shes just. a bored old lady who watches her youtube opinion men for entertainment, and has the barest concept of what is reliable information and what is absolute horsefeathers.
