That doesn't mean you're thick!! I imagine this would take the form of various lessons in K-12. I don't think my brief illustration of what such lessons would look like would constitute one lol.

It's a failure of our education system, not of the students.

I think you're right and "given" is an unideal word. Maybe "knowing"? E.g. "Probability of A, given knowing B."

Yep, Homestuck.com's certs expired.

Gio and Bambosh (the maintainers of the unofficial collection) are both very cool and good, the Homestuck archive is fantastic, and Ruffle (flash emulator that runs in the browser on wasm) is a godsend. Unofficial collection: https://homestuck.giovanh.com/

Unrelated, it turns out the person who made the original Homestuck walkarounds open sourced it back in 2012 (https://github.com/WhatPumpkin/Sburb-Legacy/blob/master/levels/openbound/thirdRoom.xml). She went on to be one of the Rust designers for Mozilla. Rust became pretty influential for WebAssembly, and was used to implement Ruffle... Which made the Homestuck archive possible again.

So it's very fitting that Homestuck's existence ultimately lead to Homestuck's existence. Like that domino meme, but a circle. Or something else...

But sifting through these I found. Uh. A lot of pretty awful transphobic jokes of varying degrees of recency. Had to cherry pick

I've been exposed to it only pre-2014, but apparently younger queer zoomers actually find a lot of merit in the show. I was asking about good representation of trans women in media who don't pass, and someone told me in full sincerity, "Quagmire's dad".

A very short breakdown:

  • A number of the cutaway gags have made it explicit that Peter is a trans man. (But these generally aren't canon). (That's where this post comes from.)
  • In at least two episodes (S2E8 and one way later with Ida, "Quagmire's dad"), Peter has a gender epiphany and transitions to a woman to some degree, only to transition back by the end of the episode.

I'm not an expert in Family Guy lore at all, so, big grain of salt.
