I have gotten a system where, each week of each month, I do one hour on each of my various hobbies, such as "programming", "Jstpst maintenance", and "putting my affairs in order". The "one hour a week" thing works well, because I give myself a lot of leeway. I'm currently advanced into September on the "read 30 pages of a book per week" one.

The latter part is pretty grim. Every time I've considered ending things, I realized I had a lot of chores I'd like to get done first. Write people letters, make a will, etc.

Most of those chores I need are things that were nice to have done. My emotions are in order, if I do die early I know my assets won't go to my parents or the state, etc.

It also lets me engage in suicidal ideation without doing anything harmful. Realistically, I'm not going to complete a suicide, don't worry about that.

And, being so productive has been really good for it too.

I think there is something morbidly funny about this, so I share it,

That is a common thing i think. It's pretty common for people to like, finish paying bills or renew their lease or things like that, stuff involving planning for the future, before...

Well all that to say my friend I have been there. It's good to have things you want to do before you go. I hope you decide to stick around. But if you don't I hope you manage to get all out of life that you want to.
