(Different cheeses are just different molds, i.e. foodstuffs which get their distinctive flavors from being highly complex lifeforms. To me, a cheese is a civilization. And our civilization is like a cheese.)

She endorsed Harris after Trump had a really bad debate.
I think the 2024 debate will be recent enough in 2044 to warrant a subchapter, and the "Biden had the worst debate performance of all time > Trump took the crown by doing worse > Taylor Swift endorses Harris" would be a chapter itself if the next step is "Harris wins"

Woah, I went over two decades of life and never learned you can't carry knives in the UK. (But you probably don't need to jerry rig public accommodations on a semiregular basis either hehe)
For dental purposes, I also pack miswack sticks into my go-bag instead of toothbrushes. (My thinking is "floss gets you 50% of the way there but I would also like to brush".)
The idea is that you cut the bark at the end and chew on it for dental hygiene. When the end gets dirty, you can just cut off the half inch and get a fresh half inch.
But they're plastic shrink-wrapped, cheap, and you can also use them with toothpaste if you want.

Leatherman makes the good swiss army knives and I keep getting use of it. Adds weight but doesn't take much volume!
I also keep art wire and floss with me, which have come in useful (wire) in highschool for picking poorly made doorlocks and (floss) for flossing.

I'm in the US, so things might differ worldwide, but $5/month seems egregious for this. Some games give you in-game bucks when you watch ads. Microsoft Rewards is generous for the same deal (or, at least it was in ~2012, I bought an Assassins Creed game for $5 with my sick ad loot.)
Places like r/beermoney have good resources for this kind of "surveillance capitalism labor" and places like r/churning have good resources for the kind of "credit card rewards" or "$200 to open a checking account with us". In a few US and Canadian states, you can even get paid something like $0.05 per can or bottle you return. And Fiverr, MTurk, etc.
Hell, I've made about ~$2000 so far just from class action and related suits. This person (if in the US) would make a lot more money by just opting our of arbitration when possible.

- A lot of terfs I've interacted with have a poor understanding of radical feminism, and even an unfamiliarity with the most prominent radfems, like Valerie Solanas
- Coffee is a roasted seed tea and it'd be funny to say I can't make you a cup because I'm jacking off too much, and that's the lefts fault

- Cement would be a bad food to be introduced to cuisine if more people were starving.
- Someone who wanted to have sex with me told me they don't have "the socioeconomic reach" to meet at a third place or to buy condoms. I stopped talking to them but did thank them in my head for the post

- The Queer Community(tm)(?) seems to have started using "amab" and "afab" entirely in the same way people uses "boy" and "girl" 100 years ago. It's the same gender binary. (Also, reference to the same person before.) ("Erm... What the sigma?" is a new quote the younguns are saying)
- Under communism, we'll have more child labor. Which sounds scary, but we have a lot of child labor all the time, such as when children clean up after themselves in school. We should have more of that and less coal mines.

Hi! I'm the current sysadmin of jstpst and I recently figured out (with lotsa help from emma) how to host it!
Right now we're hosting Jstpst on a DigitalOcean VPS using Docker.
Are you already familiar with selfhosting on Linux? The whole "Rent a VPS or something, set up a domain, host a service, put it behind Nginx or whatever" and all the "sudo nano /etc/blahblahblah"?
If so, you have the prerequisite skills :D I'm using Docker to host Postmill because I've had so many pains with dependency conflicts and upgrades before. Docker's promise that I would never have to worry about that again has held true.
The repo with Dockerfiles is here: https://codeberg.org/Postmill/Postmill
The docker instructions are here: https://codeberg.org/Postmill/Postmill/wiki/Serving-Postmill-using-Docker-and-Caddy
The Docker Compose (which sets up and links the multiple Docker images which a Postmill install uses) is here: https://codeberg.org/Postmill/postmill-docker-example
For directed guidance, are you familiar with using Linux and hosting web services / sites on Linux? (I think you can do this on other OSes too, but I can't speak to BSD or Windows or whatnot)
