so i looked into the iot/embedded pricing, and a legit copy seems incredibly cheap? but you also have to 'apply for a CLA', after which microsoft will review your application and then presumably make you sign some paper in blood, so i'm not gonna do that.

i would download a pirated copy of enterprise and activate it using my totally legit list of product keys that does not belong to a friend's former employer, but i'm scared it's gonna be compromised. i guess i'll just keep doing the second best thing, and run 10 pro with updates blocked.

i have successfully cracked it now. honestly it didn't even look like a real pgp message to me, like there's clearly two different base64-encoded sections, and a blank line that's necessary for some reason. but i guess i'm just used to other pem-based formats.
