- significantly higher resolution than other premium headsets
- AR features mean you can see yourself
- don't need a controller
- floating windows mean you can just glance between videos, twitter, discord, etc.
- battery option
there's drawbacks other than price, like it doesn't work with vrchat etc. so having the apple product and a vr product could be justified for a very rich person. also my joke is like, this infinite screens thing it's about, like what is it good for other than gooning? it's gonna be screen overload no matter what you're doing, Lol

Reply to i wish 3d tvs took off by twovests
So what specifically happened with 3D is that executives, and jeffrey katzenberg specifically, saw "movie that you need special glasses to see" and thought "this would be amazing for anti-piracy!" because you can't cam rip a 3D movie. So it got pushed on moviegoers way beyond the actual demand, and got associated with rising ticket prices and a general annoyance. Instead of it being something special, a bunch of movies got after the fact 3D conversions that didn't add anything special.
We would probably still have 3D tvs if it wasn't such a botched launch, Lol

I cannot think of a thing that the vision pro does that couldn't be done a better way with something else, except for watching pornography

When I think about this kind of thing my mind goes to "what's the next useful thing I can do?" It's never as easy as that sounds but it's a good goal. You can't be responsible for ending suffering, but you can do useful things.

Reply to should i upgrade my cpu? (or laptop???) by anethum
I'd laptop because yeah it wolves more problems. Maybe still using the desktop for encoding, it'll take longer but cause less wear and tear issues.
But yeah I definitely computer shop more than I buy Lol. I don't have a need to buy but I know pretty much exactly what I would buy if I needed to.
