Services like invidio.us, and the ActivityPub sphere, that allow breaking through into JS tracking-laden "web applications" with simple HTML and CSS are a demonstration of a possible future of a web without the useless cruft. Much to the chagrin of its gatekeepers.

Invidious is just fantastic, and I am saddened that Google is trying to strangle it. I browse the web with JavaScript completely disabled, so Invidious and yt-dlp are the only way I am able to watch YouTube videos at all.

SRS: the ShitRedditSays subreddit. A place where people would post other redditors' bigoted posts/comments and mock them. It's a ghost town now, but it was pretty active between 2010ish and 2017ish.

Reddit: a mistake

The Fempire: A network of subreddits affiliated with SRS. Also the former name of this website.

Puppy Linux, that brings back memories. It was the first linux distro I ever used. My uncle showed it to me, and gave me a flash drive and a "computer" to use it with. I put quotes around computer because this thing had no case, it was just a PSU and a motherboard with the CPU, RAM, and other peripherals it needed to run. We called it the Frankenputer. It worked well enough to run puppy linux at a tolerable speed. After I installed Debian on my main desktop PC, I left it in a closet for years, until I eventually threw it away since it was just collecting dust. RIP Frankenputer.

Uh, anyways, Puppy Linux good.
