The 1040ez was retired in 2018 when they redid the 1040.
That said, for most people in the usa: if you can program you should be able to do your taxes. It gets more complicated if you are self employed or have investment income, etc., but if you just have w2 income it’s actually pretty easy - just read and follow the instructions.

I've also been using FreeTaxUSA. Haven't had any issues with it.

anyway unless you have assets, you get yourself a form called the 1040-ez 1040 from the irs website and it will have instructions included. you mail it in and that's that

Dasani failed for a much funnier reason than just people thinking it was a ripoff. The specific circumstances were great, it was revealed to be just tapwater from the mains which became a scandal for a couple of reasons: firstly because bottled water was usually expected to be "mineral" water with some sort of selling point beyond convenience, secondly, there was a recall due to levels of bromate being over the legal limit. Lastly taking tap water and selling it as an upmarket brand while it was actually contaminated was literally the plot of an episode of the beloved comedy classic Only Fools & Horses, down to the fact that the actual Dasani plant was only about nine miles from where the tv show was set.
It would be like if some big flower shop tried launching genetically modified plants and it turned out that they ate people.

Personally I feel offended that you would interpret my participation in a silly post as an indication that I have "low self esteem". I feel insulted that you would think I have such a sick and twisted worldview that I would think anyone can deserve to be insulted.
My heart is broken

Nice! Have you ever tried making a tofu scramble? I usually go for those, because the egg substitutes are pretty expensive.

You're not alone at all. I feel the same way. At least with the pandemic, we knew those tend to fizzle out after a few years, but there's no standard expiration date for fascism. 2023 had plenty of problems, but from inside the US, it seemed to be the first relatively "normal" year since 2015 - and it will likely be the last normal one for quite a while. But while hardships are sure to come, falling into defeatism is doing trump's work for him (not that that's what you're doing; it's just a common sentiment I've seen online). The "it's all over, we're so cooked" mentality is just as harmful as the maga one. Because it's never "over" as long as people are willing to fight back.

Strictly speaking, I don’t. Taxes are Other Me’s problem.
That said, she always does taxes by hand on printable forms.
