I think its success as a product is because it's inherently funny, and juuuust interesting enough.

(I'm sure you know this, but it looks like your IRL name is attached to that-- in case you're worried about doxxing yourself here.)
I haven't gotten deep into TTRPGs , I always thought these required some existing system (like DnD or Pathfinder). I haven't read through it all yet, but is this meant to be standalone, or does this attach to something else?
In either case, thank u for sharing :D

not much, you?
(this is a multi level joke comment wherein what's sup is elided into what's up. sup is a verb and the superior way to spell soup. ask me what's updog)

Oh no we’re on a plum!

It was almost exactly two years ago we saw what was happening and decided our safest bet was being as visible as possible in the neighborhood. We live in one of the edge areas, more red than blue but not by a large margin. Wouldn’t want to make a bet either way on the neighbors standing up for a random trans woman being harassed. On the other hand, Rain, who they’ve had dozens of conversations with, who lent them sugar on thanksgiving (it really happens lol), who’s family shoveled their walk after the surprise snow, etc. - that is a different story.
I hope, anyway.

My one interaction with my neighbours here was i talking on the phone near my window and i looked over and saw him on his balcony giving me a dirty look, i'm assuming because he could see how i was dressed and could hear my very non-passing voice. Maybe the ones on the other side might be chill though idk

I commend you for talking to your neighbors despite this, and I appreciate you sharing this experience.
I'm a hypocrite and I haven't, as my neighbors are MAGAs. The relative innocence of "there is a parallel universe of eternal torture that I truly believe exists and I think you're going to it" is funny even if sorrowful

I wonder how I ever lived without "torment chrysalis" in my vocabulary.
just as mycoplasma survive with not cell walls nor peptidoglycan, deprivation has made you stronger. you are presumably highly resistant to antibiotics.
The big question is where is this fiction available?
I have system agnostic ttrpg stuff published in a small magazine!
Been working on a novel, though I write very slowly! but steadily — went into a dwarf fortress style fey mood over it. no idea where it'll end up, but it's a bit too grotesque for the current spec-fic zeitgeist, I figure. might try finding an agent when its finished, but i dont want money, just to subject more people to my gross art :D

I did. They kindly told me about all the food they have stored away that will be available for looting once the rapture comes. All with the clear implication that I was not going to be among the raptured, but I was welcome to their food once it happened.
It is quite possibly the nicest way anyone has ever told me that I was going to hell.
Just to be clear this isn’t intended to discourage people from talking to their neighbors. That conversation was actually the beginning of a decent neighbor relationship. I also have the sense that these conversations have made both of us feel safer. But it was a little disturbing when it happened and hilarious in retrospect.

A big shout out to you all - you are more than valid, you are awesome and amazing and beautiful. Don’t let the bastards get you down - we were here before them, and we will still be there long after they have been relegated to the dustbin of history.
I love you all

Yes…. Yes it is.
That said it is going about how I expected. The orders were already ready to go. I expect things will slow down briefly in a bit while everyone takes stock. Then the shit will really hit the fan.

It's annoying to me because of my job.
