if you think of it in terms of producers/composers, some of them have really particular tics that are recognisable across the musicians they work for. idk if that's exactly what you're looking for, but crj's all that and sky ferreira's everything is embarassing are both very much dev hynes tracks and it's fun to be able to pick up on without checking credits

i'm a fountain pen newbie and they are definitely a hassle compared to disposable pens but i enjoy looking at the variation in ink colours. i bought this in a brick-and-mortar stationery store and it's just very pretty

i feel like it's the sort of thing writers pick up

i've never done water first but i'll try it next time

usually i put the pills in my mouth then try to tip them to the back of my tongue and then get water to swallow with while holding my head back

edit: tried it, felt scary and new but would try again
