  2. things like a consistent setting and logic are secondary to emotional concerns and looking cool
  3. they're generally written backwards, with tons of supplemental material, series expectations, and marketing requirements shaping the story
  4. a common thing that ff devs say is that ff games are never finished, just released. they are given long and indulgent development schedules and budgets without really thinking about the end, just how much can they do before they can't delay the game anymore.

there is zero reason to give any legitimacy to these assholes, and if you're treating one firing different from the other then yes that is exactly what you're doing. I'm seeing it everywhere in response to this and it's honestly fucking me up.
