How does Samus's right arm fit inside the cannon

I think about this every damn day

her arm isn't amputated at the elbow, since we've seen her without her suit on

does it go to the side or something, it can't be in the middle since that's where all the plasma is

but then how does the hot metal not burn the fuck out of her

"just repeat to yourself it's just a game, I should really just relax"

Edit: how the FUCK does she curl into a sphere? is she a cat??

She's just cartwheeling really quick that it creates the illusion of a sphere

The cannon isn't hollow. The firing mechanism is actually quite small and fits around her arm easily.

She could have a prosthetic. When she goes on a mission she leaves it on the ship and puts on the Gun one
