i like dirty rice! usually it's chopped peppers, onion, carrot, celery, garlic, and ground beef with rice and seasonings. but it doesn't require precise quantities of specific ingredients. you can make it vegetarian/vegan friendly if you have some plant based protein. and it doesn't take too long to cook.

i would choose to not own a smartphone if i could, but every job i've had for the last 8 years has required them for multifactor authentication. (the fact that i can play MTG on mine is just a consolation prize.) if we need to start carrying vaccine records for stupid reasons, i agree that they should definitely be paper. i'm never, ever handing my unlocked device to another person.

i wish a lot more people in web dev thought like this person does, i am tired of building frameworks on top of frameworks on top of containers on top of on-demand cloud instances. i feel like a good 75% of what we use the internet for doesn't need that wasteful garbage.

i miss when shooty games weren't about trying to project you into a weird jingoistic fantasy where you're Rambo From Rambo 3 and you're Shooting Realistic Name Brand Firearms at Thousands of Foreign Enemies Who Are Conveniently Not Thought Of As People.

i wish they were still about rocketjumping around in space and playing reverse tag with the quad damage, because that was a lot more fun and challenging to play and also didn't resemble anything a child (or gamer bro with a child's understanding of politics) would mistake for reality.
