Reply to Playing Doom on a Toy Trumpet by devtesla
everyday i log on the internet and ofc someone is always posting and rting the latest memes and home accidents etc and it does provide a kind of joy but at the same time, it can be all so tiresome, and, i dont have to tell you, one of the most common motifs that we see rolling through all this, like a river slowly altering the landscape into stagnant oxbows etc, is the 'man plays doom on cardiac machine' or whatever, and yet--both the technical skill involved in this one--and i mean the programming and also the dexterity, dexterity that suggests, i believe, a practiced musician, ofc this brings it to the top of the 'doom ports' pile but then to have the horn HONK! for each shot, well it is quite pleasing

oh thats neat. i took a compilers class way long ago and learning just a bit of that stuff, or maybe adjacent concepts to NLS, was really incredible

yea i do this all the time and its bad with some webpages that like popup stuff when you select. also i usually scroll by hitting spacebar and a ton of sites now have little popover menus over some of the page, and so spacebar scrolls a full page when it should really scroll a page minus the menu height if that makes sense
