The worst things about stallman stem from the best thing about stallman.
He is extremely principled. But that doesn't mean what it does to most people. He has an idea, and he follows it to its conclusion. When it comes to software I'm glad someone is there to never compromise on anything, and stick to his guns to an incredibly annoying decree. This is the same reason I have a soft spot for Norman Finkelstein. Not afraid to be so, fucking irritating when he knows he's right and everyone else is falling short. I respect it and I hope that for all my faults, I have the same strength they do for my own convictions.
But he also follows that philosophy of never being gold he's wrong in the workplace harassment realm. Which I do not like.
I don't think it balances out at all. I think he should have his theoretical justifications for saying he thinks necrophilia is OK but he should just keep those things under his hat. However for the same reasons, he is not ever going to.

I don't think apple are shortsighted enough to make such an obvious unforced error as that. Launching a new product in this environment without jstpst.net integration?
I hear Microsoft has added a new jstpst.net key to the keyboard, really leaning in to it. I know apple doesn't like to be seen as playing catch up, but in this current tech climate? Just don't see it.

No no didn't think so at all sorry. I just was commenting on how as soon as something becomes big enough that most people know about it, it gets sucked in to the culture war and it's exhausting. Right now conservatives think she's a psy op by the woke CIA to get biden reelected or something and I'm just like... God damn. Can we not?
I think the last song by her that I heard was that shake it off song from about 2013 which I enjoyed but I don't really follow her.

As soon as she started blowing up again (I define a big music celebrity "blowing up" as me having heard of them since I don't follow music so it takes them being pretty big for me to be aware of them), I knew this was going to become part of the culture war somehow.

It seems odd that anyone can create a new subjstpst but not mod people. Is that a setting that can be changed, or is it core to the software?

/f/hobchat, which I created so I'd think would be full permissions for me.
I also see the same thing for /f/podcasts too, but I've never tried to add anyone before.

All I see is "Appearance", "Bans", "Edit forum" and "Moderation log"
Edit forum just lets me set the name, title, description and sidebar, but I don't see any other options.
