Lloyd & Rose Buck Bird Specialists and Handlers

Well that's a 2010's indie band name if I ever saw one.

I found myself in a similar situation a while back. After reading some reviews, I decided to buy a new PS4 controller, and I'm pretty happy with it. Feels very solid, good d-pad, you can use a micro-usb cord (not included) or bluetooth (if the computer supports it). Getting it to work in Linux was as easy as plugging it in.

As for downsides, the micro-usb connection doesn't feel quite as robust as one would like for a controller imo, compared to just having the cord sticking out or maybe an usb-c port. But I doubt it will become a problem in practice.

Reply to comment by bunnies in visualizing punctuation in novels by mm_

I was curious enough that I decided to check it myself. Here are the total counts of punctuation marks in the plain project gutenberg text: https://i.imgur.com/EEblCqU.png

The em dash was represented as two characters (--) so I didn't include it (would have been like 5 minutes more of work), sorry hoppet.

Wasn't really as extreme as I thought, but the semicolon/period ratio does seem to be higher than in all the other analyzed books. The period/comma ratio is also quite interesting to compare.

I am far from a fashion person, but when it comes to men's clothes for $200, here's what I would do:

$100: A nice pair of skinny jeans, with fairly thick fabric. The ones with thin, stretchy fabric will feel great, but they tear quickly. In my experience, you can just walk into a shop with jeans, tell them what you're looking for, and they will set you up.

$30: An ok dress shirt, to wear tucked into the jeans for nicer occasions. You won't get the great stuff at this price point unfortunately, so look for sales. The important thing here is that you feel comfortable wearing it, but if you're not that into dress shirts you might need to convince yourself.

$40: 2-4 t-shirts, with a shape and print that you like

$30: A nice sweater

Ardour has the weirdest business model. It's free software but you can pay for binaries, and I'm pretty sure that they're trying to keep the build process as difficult and annoying as possible on purpose.

It finally got me, just as I was replying to this comment https://www.jstpst.net/f/general/1911/comment/4326

I took a screenshot and started to write this comment, and when I was done I clicked back in that tab and tried to repost the original comment and it went through (I didn't try to post it again immediately afterwards).
