i've never finished celeste because i have fucking demand avoidance for playing video games. like not even for difficulty reasons

though i did remember, a few weeks after last playing it, i read about how there's wavedashing in it, and i fired up the game just to learn (and pull off!) wavedashing. so i can put that in my resume at least

maybe i should try and pick it up again idk

yeah there are some citation problems in this article. the study that they cited for "Studies have also associated rough-and-tumble play with better problem-solving scores in boys" is a... meta-analysis on studies about time spent outdoors and its correlation with myopia. (which is incidentally a bit amusing to me because well we already know that)

it's a bit of a confusing one for me because as far as i could tell it's just an informative (no judgment of quality being implied here) webpage? it's a single-issue webpage reminiscent of old geocities pages, even. i was even successful in building a narrative in my head of some silly jerk genuinely joining a forum (as in, not spamming) and having their first gambit be posting that

i hear you. i have zero friends and i still need to use whatsapp because it's used for everything. if you don't have whatsapp you might as well use a phone without a simcard.

it's a bit ironically funny too because this place's one of the very few countries where you can actually say that the consensus is that israel is bad, i.e., you will never get into any trouble supporting palestine (good) [but also the country as a whole is kinda antisemitic about it (bad) (like, silly shit like, everything modern is "western" and everything western is the jews. your phone? jews. burgers? jews)]
