When you say "bike" it's seldom clear if you mean bicycle or motorcycle. The word is used for both.

Motorbike isn't used much in the US, though I wish it were. Words like "pushbike" sound a little bit infantilizing for the human powered version too.

honestly thought this thread was gonna be about whether it's cool or not to give names like Paul to a bike

henceforth the only acceptable shorthand term for motorcycle is "hog"

Mike is short for Motorbike

from now on call a motorcycle a bike and a bicycles a bice

Bice is the plural tho. e.g. "I saw a group of riders zipping by on bice."

i guess you could say the proper usage of the word is..... dibiceive

motorcycle is mike and bicycle is bike

Took me a second to parse that but when I did I gave a hearty groan.
