liz bruenig isn't anti-choice and the atlantic isn't leftist. those laws are from conservatives.
there seems to be this myth of the anti-choice leftist out there and I hate it, anyone who even slightly leaning in that direction probably isn't actually doing organizing.
I like the subject, but this post's approach is absolutist in kind of a weird way. Like games journalists can like a game without being corrupt in some way, and men can be hugely shitty and be pro-choice.
This is so exhausting lol

even popular left-wing thought is toying with abandoning abortion rights
probably referring to elizabeth bruenig, the atlantic excusing hires (at first) for calling for the systematic hanging of people who get abortions, perhaps the democrats running anti-choice candidates
laws attempting to restrict gender presentation and roles rear their heads all too frequently
bathroom bills, abortion laws maybe? the author is in england and might be talking about laws in less prominent european states

We live in a world where dominant culture and even popular left-wing thought is toying with abandoning abortion rights and laws attempting to restrict gender presentation and roles rear their heads all too frequently.
Where is this coming from?

yeah i played it with emily a bit using the game pass trial but like... the game has so much potential but fell flat in a lot of ways and just isn't worth $60. Maybe I'll check it out again in a year but it needs more time in the oven.

I haven't played it yet, mostly cause I've heard a lot of the things you said above. It's really weird how much this $60 game published by microsoft seems like an indie early access game! I'm wondering if getting the water to be THAT good took a ton of their development time, or if they cut a bunch of content to later sell as DLC, or what... it's weird, for sure.
I hope it gets a bunch of meaningful updates cause the core of the game, the idea of it, is so GOOD. But yea it seems like it's just,,, deeply flawed for now :(

Reply to I beat Kirb and I really loved it by devtesla
I beat Kirb last night and it was amazing. The pacing was just right. The music was fantastic! I loved all the call-backs to earlier games in the series, from entirely recreated levels (Floria from Super Star!!) to remixed music and boss fights. The final boss even had attacks that referenced the final bosses from Super Star and Crystal Shards.
The only thing missing for me was a remix of the timeless final boss music from super star - Marx's Theme

This video not only included
- Phalanx, the famous cover for a completely unnotable game that has had the staying power of almost 30 years by now. Guys, this is not a mark of lunacy, but mastership in execution.
- Trevor McFur in the Crescent Galaxy. Just look at the type faces included here. With this video game in your paws, you want to be a furry.

Puyo Nexus has a good series of tutorials that have helped me get started. From there it's a lot of time and practice until you can instinctively visualize how to put all these chaining forms together.

I want this game BAD but I'm on a "watching things and drawing" kick right now that I don't want to end prematurely with exciting new viddy games. but SOON.
