I think that using letters that are marked out can be useful when fishing for letters if you have a word that can check a lot of common letters or specific positions even if it uses ones you know can't be correct instead. But I guess if hard mode is enabled that becomes less useful.

It doesn't really offer file storage. It's prohibitively expensive to put that much data on the blockchains that people actually use so the NFT stuff is generally just URLs to files stored elsewhere. The distributed computation sort of exists in Ethereum smart contracts the distributed VM's processing power is pathetic. Like an order of magnitude worse than a raspberry pi for the entire network I think. None of this is actually useful.

I don't think you can adapt Wheel of Time without the gender essentialism. You'd need to rewrite a lot of the core ideas. I'm watching the first episode at the moment and they don't seem to be shying away from it with the taint still being there and the Red Ajah misandry, so it's odd that they are throwing in that the Dragon could be a woman, when part of the tension around the prophecy is that male channellers are inherently a massive danger but he is also meant to be a messiah.
