the iphone apps I like the most, like tweetbot, overcast, drafts, don't really feel like they're following ios design language that much. you shouldn't necessarily deviate to far from how the rest of the os feels, just for onboarding sake, but why would someone use an app that didn't like, focus on a task

this is particularly true of tweetbot, which rules

The google password manager is particularly bad because it can learn password that you didn't particularly want it to learn.

A third party password manager like 1Password is great, it'll never do something that you didn't want it to do and the design is secure. I've used it for years. Can't vouch for other methods though

It was always going to be better, Tim made the last video while recovering from covid and missing some equipment. And yea at kotaku he was working out of a closet, he's got way more resources from his patreon including a full time video editor.

I enjoyed the ff7r video more but that's because it's a way more interesting subject to me, I beat tlou and it seems kinda broken to me. Like its design philosophy is really good but there's nothing hanging off of it.

Yea no worries. This isn't a fund, its a fundraising page set up through Act Blue, using this feature. I set up something like this (using a different platform) for RAINN on me irl in order to run a donation drive. This is a similar thing, except it's set up so people can donate to multiple bail funds.

I'm not sure who set this up, but I do know that the money going into this is going to those charities directly, there's no handoff step.
