For the last couple of years I've kind of backslid on ablist language, specifically regarding the words "stupid" or "crazy" or their analogues to describe things that don't make sense or are counterproductive.
Recently the based chad antiwoke set has decided now they're going to go all in on using the word "retarded" and it got me thinking you know what. I used to not do it. It's just time for me to recommit to that again, we don't need this.
I find there's just not actually very good words to replace those that actually describe what those words means in common speech. "what you're doing is crazy" is immediately obvious what you mean. "What you're doing is nonsensical" doesn't flow at all. "What you're doing is counterproductive" also doesn't work. There's not a word that encapsulates what it means in common speech quite.
But, I will endeavor to find a solution.

Let me know if you find a solution. The loss of clarity of message is hard to swallow. Especially as English proficiency wanes in the population, I'm struggling between the desire to simplify my language so that people can understand me, and the desire to be Erudite and Articulated.
It might help to focus on the social aspect? "That's fucked up" might convey parts of what "that's crazy" would.
