The first jstpst user survery (includes vote for mascot)!!!

Good afternoon postopians.

A little late, I have our first survey for the direction we will be taking jstpst. This contains two questions. Well it's four but three are the same question. The first three are a choice of what mascot you would like to see for the site. Your second and third choices will be scored subsequently lower than the first when I tally up totals. The winner of the mascot vote isn't a hard-and-fast final choice, as it will depend on any artists to volunteer to choose one they like and think they can do. It is more to get a feel of what would be the must agreed-upon choice.

The fourth option is something a lot of people probably would have liked from thefempire.org, which would just to browse /f/all by default since we're not nearly as big as reddit.

I'll leave it open for a week or two and then total up the numbers. Please be courteous and vote only once.

o yea for sure, it's still just the "you broke reddit!" page and i have this vision of someone coming back to post and just seeing that with no explanation :( :( :(

I would like this too, but there are a few intersecting reasons that make this a fair bit more complicated than just pressing a button or even some simple code tweaks.

oh yeah I def think "new" should be the default sorting everywhere on the site (is there even a way to change comment sorting?)

I think "hot" should be the default, just because I like to make a lot of posts in a row and I'd feel more comfortable about doing so if they floated up as people like em, instead of making everyone's page just my posts over and over.

I do use new a lot though. I think it would be good if the site remembered that you like new.

Cuttlefish and pigeons and that thing I voted last are very good folks.

I personally think that filtering main page is good so I like to see my subscriptions when I see front page when logged in. If you don't feel like a form of posting is that good, you can see your own front page. And that's valuable and chill imo. Let's be excellent to each other. Thank you, I love you all. My audiences... each of them has a story to tell.
