(i ask this earnestly-- i don't think bacon is particularly good, but this seems like a difficult thing to imitate, especially without egg and gelatin)

It tastes good although it doesn't taste exactly like meat bacon (i think, i've been vegan long enough that my memories of how meat tasted are a lil fuzzy). It also varies a lot depending on what type of vegan bacon it is, tempeh bacon, eggplant bacon, and soy bacon all have a different vibe to them
