not a fan of unreal engine's default shadow rendering but aside from that this looks sick as hell

100% agreed. Big the cat needs their own game. The fact that a tense boss fight in Sonic Adventure was a fishing minigame still baffles and tickles me to this day.

the can't even launch problem that people know about has to do with anti-cheat and steam accounts with multi-byte unicode characters, not sure if that applies to you. They mentioned it in a blog post

Yeah :\
The Steam reviews are poor because of performance, and those don't include the people who can't even start the game. But I am happy it works for you on PC though!!
Not sure what the common denominator is. (I'm running this on Windows, I refunded before trying on Linux.)

On my side it does not even start :(

aside from some stuttering (likely poorly optimized shader caching) the game works fine for me and several people i know and i'm having a blast. i'd say my pc specs are about mid, cpu is on the weak side. a game this big and complicated it's unsurprising that there are issues with some configurations and Gamers are known to be a little obsessive about things.

Actually I didn't mean to contradict that. I feel like what the artist finds sexually attractive is basically a list of floating disembodied traits and objects. They need to be brought together in humanoid form, but the object of arousal is not the whole but its parts.

yeah I think I could probably get preeeetty far if I put the time into it (tho I genuinely think the hardest stuff is just fundamentally beyond my skill level/reaction time), but I thought about it and decided that I just didn't have it in me to spend that kinda time on it! and gosh the steel soul stuff, if I got pretty far and failed I think I'd just give up, I don't have the determination, the chutzpah

to be honest getting these achievements is less about skill/power and more about stubbornness/tenacity/putting in the hours. you just gotta sit down and learn those bosses in the training area of godshome well enough that you can beat them then bash your head against the pantheon of hallownest until you finally get through it all. you have to accept losing five hours of progress in steel soul a couple times until you get far enough in the run that you're strong enough to not be in too much danger anymore. (also when you get to 1hp you can just save and quit to the menu and youll wake up on the last bench you were on with full hp lol)

yeah I think this is the correct way to be about it. I was briefly more in the mindset of "maybe silksong come out soon?" but I have since learned better
still check the team cherry site every month or three tho
