I might adopt a cat soon. I need to come up with a name for in case I do go through with this.

She is a fluffy tuxedo, and very tiny for a full grown cat.

My current frontrunners:

Clover, Bramble, Fennel

Peppermint (Pepper for short is really cute but i have nonzero balking at people assuming it's "pepper" as in "salt and pepper" which to me is so basic....)

I'm also considering Cricket (ADORABLE but maybe not the right sound profile) and Beetle (also cute but doesn't feel like it fits her quite as well)

Fern and Bean are both cute but I don't want a monosyllabic name.

And I would be seriously considering Juniper if that wasn't already taken by a local friend with a similar-looking cat lmao.

Anyway. If you have any ideas pls do not hesitate to tell me them, I provide my frontrunners to try to help with triangulating the Vibes I'm going for. I seem to have some affection for plant names, but not flowers or fruits. And I suspect the Bugs Realm may be pretty underexplored. And then who knows what else is out there that is not a plant or a food or a bug, it's harder to generate ideas outside of set categories.

chestnut is what comes to mind for me but bramble and fennel are really cute names. maybe marjoram or anise??

Clovers are my favourite flower, and i think it would be a perfect fit to match her round and fluffy type face.

Her eyes are well suited to staring emptily up towards a cool sky in a field for days on end; it wouldnt bother her because she dosent look like she can generate thoughts to be bothered by.
