yeah i have seen some music production focused distros and when they work, they work really well, but the ones i have seen tend to only work on older hardware or on specific expensive models of newer hardware

right now i'm in the early stages of writing a go (aka weiqi/baduk) server in the vein of online-go.com. i want to learn how to make game servers, and go is the simplest game that i play regularly so it seemed like a good choice. it also seemed like a good choice for Elixir, the language i use at work. i know a lot of other online game services use it. and when it comes time to write the front end i would like to try Elm again, but it's still a long road before i get to that point.

this sounds really neat! i love making music and i also love haskell (although i am only a hobbyist at either one).
have you picked a web framework yet? i've seen a few for haskell but haven't tried any.

yes!! the whole thing had a dreamlike, fairy tale quality to it. i feel like we don't get enough of that in games especially these days.

i gotta pick mei because if i could choose to be anything IRL i would be a cute girl like mei.
but i mostly play pharah because of the thousands of hours i already wasted playing rocket arena in quake 3 and ut2004. i kinda wish the game had more movement tricks.

yeah that makes sense! it's great for sharing knowledge at the beginning, and we've been doing it a lot cause we're doing a new project this month. once the amount of new stuff getting added slows down then i hope we can go back to regular work.
