On today's transgender thursday, I'd like to give a shoutout to my IRL friend, Lillie (name changed for privacy's sake). Lillie has been doing queer activism in our city for the past 2 years. Her organization has put together queer self-defense classes, gender-affirming clothing swaps, name change fundraisers, and other such events for the community. Her efforts deserve to be recognized and celebrated! Thank you for everything you do, Lillie!

I'd like to shout out AEW Dynamite this week. After the opening match, the women's world champion Toni Storm appeared in the audience. Somebody flew a big ole trans pride flag behind her, and the security detail didn't try to stop them or take their flag or anything.

It was really nice to see the flag flying on a national broadcast!

She responded, and said that's sweet, but she can't claim credit for everything, since it's a group effort of a lot of people. She says one of the coolest lessons to learn is that regular working class people can do nearly anything when they get organized. She encourages you to start your own group!
