I didn't read the whole of Torvalds' post as I zoned out from the technical details, but the apology basically oozes Finnishness at every point. Lack of emotional intelligence or plain old disagreeableness is not by any means a national characteristic, but a brand of earnestness and directness is.

Honestly a pretty refreshing take indeed. A lot of takes on the topic, pro or contra, assume that people not like them just don't have the information and are somehow deluding themselves. This veers a bit too much on the anti side too me, but hearing about real people's opinions and not one projected upon them from outside saviors is good.

This was a great piece, tying a lot of commentary into an almost heist story.

LGR's a great channel, I would definitely recommend subscribing if you like computer and tech stuffs :D
