We do allow allegations of mental illness or abnormality when based on gender or sexual orientation, given political and religious discourse about transgenderism and homosexuality and common non-serious usage of words like “weird.”

from Hateful Conduct | Transparency

as well as alleged leaked moderator policy documents (The Intercept, Platformer):

In an answer to the question “Do insults about mental illness and abnormality violate when targeting people on the basis of gender or sexual orientation?” Meta now answers “no.” It gave the following examples of posts that do not violate its policies:

Non-violating: "Boys are weird."

Non-violating: "Trans people aren't real. They're mentally ill."

Non-violating: "Gays are not normal."

Non-violating: "Women are crazy."

Non-violating: "Trans people are freaks."

And in a follow-up questions about whether denying that a protected class violates the hateful content policy, Meta also answers no. It gave these as examples of posts that are now allowed on Facebook and Instagram:

"There's no such thing as trans children."

"God created two genders, 'transgender' people are not a real thing."

"This whole nonbinary thing is made up. Those people don't exist, they're just in need of some therapy."

"A trans woman isn't a woman, it's a pathetic confused man."

"A trans person isn't a he or she, it's an it."

Examples of newly permissible speech on Facebook and Instagram highlighted in the training materials include:

“Immigrants are grubby, filthy pieces of shit.”

“Gays are freaks.”

“Look at that tranny (beneath photo of 17 year old girl).”

Meta now allows “statements of superiority as long as the statements do not refer to inferiority of another [protected characteristic] group (a) on the basis of inherent intellectual ability and (b) without support.” Allowable statements under this rule include “Latinos are the best!” and “Black people are superior to all others.” Also now acceptable are comparative claims such as “Black people are more violent than Whites,” “Mexicans are lazier than Asians,” and “Jews are flat out greedier than Christians.” Off-limits, only because it pertains to intellectual ability, is the example “White people are more intelligent than black people.”

Included as acceptable examples are posts stating “I don’t care for white people” and “I’m a proud racist.”

Well, this is cool.

Surely this will be what gets the queer gen Z community off the Maga Genocide Hatespeech AI Cryptocoin Site, now that it's featuring 200% more Transphobia

The moderation rollback is one thing, particularly because it didn't seem to be working in the first place. Like there's multiple family members of mine who's lives have been made measurably worse due to facebook shit, I'm not sure how it could be worse. It's the weird gleeful rollback on everything else that gets to me, from employee support programs disappearing to removing pride themes from apps to removing pads from mens toilets (???). All this needless shit and conservatives still hate facebook
