I steep 3 minutes but that's because I like it strong. I can't imagine who goes for 5

honestly, type doesn’t really factor in to quality. bagged teas are usually pretty bad. loose leaf is usually decent to great

so i only made 1 cup of rice at a time which is less than 15mins in my rice cooker and used a heaping tsp of sencha. it was mild and grassy but i can see how leaving it in longer would overbrew it

oh how'd the sencha rice turn out that sounds easy and intriguing but also like it might overbrew the tea

I never use sugar lol just milk if it’s a tea that wants milk

for some reason i feel like milk and sugar ought to be a package deal. black tea is fine, and tea with milk and sugar is good too, but tea with just one or the other always strikes me as odd
completely unrelated: the true anti-imperialist practice is to take the colonizer's method of tea preparation and make it better. masala chai for life~

there's tea that needs milk and tea better without milk and I like the latter better lol

my favourite oolong is tieguanyin (the one that's a bit closer to green tea) but my fav hot tea is actually jasmine tea. i love the smell!!

Reply to where do you buy new tea? by oolong
oh I get mine from a chinese neighborhood shop that's walking distance from my work. it's like 500 tea bags for five dollars. it rules.
