when i was like 14 i read the book of the critically acclaimed "fight club"

except that i downloaded a poorly OCR scanned version of it with pages and chapters jumping all over the place

i thought it was just part of the book, but no, i saw a legit copy and the text was totally legible and coherent!

I watched Snowpiercer (the movie not the series) on Netflix and thought it was a cool bold move to have the korean dialogue unsubtitled but no it's supposed to be subbed, netflix was just bugging out or something.

Yeah I had the same thing. Netflix just doesn't put any subtitles on if you don't enable them for all dialogue.
