I sent my letter of resignation aaaaaah adrenaliiiiiine. Here's what I said:
Hi <REDACTED MANAGER NAME>,
Due to personal and health reasons, I have regrettably decided that continuing to work at Nordstrom is not sustainable for me, and will be terminating my employment here. I plan on taking a break, then finding work in iOS development again in a fully telecommuting position. I my last day of work to be Tuesday, March 20.
During my remaining time I will do my best to ensure a smooth transition, which will most importantly include a knowledge transfer or two on the <REDACTED> service. If there is anything else that I can help with, I will of course oblige. Additionally, I will need to know what to do with my equipment. I have my laptop, and iPhone, and probably an old Linea sled or two.
I have really appreciated your support through my time here. It has been exceedingly kind and helpful and you are a really great manager. For that I'm very grateful.
@<REDACTED HR CONTACT>, I have emailed you directly as you are my last contact with HR, and we don't have an equivalent to <REDACTED HR EMAIL> for 805 yet, so am unsure who to send this to. I'll want to have a conversation about continuing my medical coverage under COBRA and other logistics relating to my departure.
If there are any questions or concerns, please let me know. Thanks again.
Holly <REDACTED>
