I have to say, for a long while "superfood" was a word that meant "scam" in my head.

But you've gotta hand it to Bob's Red Mill: (1) They're employee owned and make good stuff, and (2) Bob Mill made his whole personality running a mill after reading a book about a guy who ran a mill.

But if you think of "super" as standing for "super convenient because it's nutritious and full of dietary fiber" then it actually works out. Chia seeds are fantastic! You can just put them into your coffee!

And, for someone who was never told "eating more fiber will instantly increase your quality of life bonkers style", I have to say, eating more fiber has instantly increased my quality of life bonkers style.

I started taking fiber pills on the regular after I got constipated once. I simply decided never again.

Kind of!

If you're not familiar, they soak up liquid and become gooey (apparently it's called mucilage.) You can just drink them.

I don't know if this is how it actually works or not, but I feel like the chia seeds moderate the rate at which caffeine enters the body. The result being longer energy and less of a spike.

It also means I can go to a cafe and order a coffee that is secretly also a breakfast. A "life hack", as you will,

EDIT: I want to stress that Aldi or Walmart is the way to go for cheap chia seeds. Something like $4 to $6 for 12oz.
