Years and years ago I was an extremely avid cyclist and went on regular half centuries or longer (bike rides of fifty miles or more). I think the longest one I ever did was like seventy miles in one day, but I'd done longer multi day trips.
After getting the ebike, I decided to compare it to the regular bike I hadn't really ridden much since the start of the pandemic, and I realized how much I missed it.
I'm currently trying to go on regular long rides to build back up my cardio, and hope to be able to do a half century again before the summer solstice.
God dang these things are fun. There's something magical about riding a bike to me. Coming to an almost complete stop but still balancing (not a track stand just staying upright at 1 mile an hour), and just feeling like you're so used to the bike that it's almost an extension of yourself. It sounds cliche but damn do I love it.
