So I bought my brother and her GF bias lighting for their new TV as a gift. It's the kind of gift, while pretty cheap, they wouldn't think of getting and Tim Rogers on Twitter convinced me that they're cool and lessen eye strain. Lots of people work hard at making colors look good in media, why not help yourself see them?

I bought Luminoodle bias lighting, in case anyone wants to check them out. (I am uncompensated for this shout out, but shouldn't be.)

I've just had a week that I've spent feeling groggy and tired. There's been lots of minute stressors on top of the usual corona situation. So I am glad I got this thing done and that I don't have to do it later! The problem with executive dysfunction kind of is that my inner experience isn't any more profound than feeling that you don't feel like doing something and thus not doing it. So I'll enjoy the occasion to make it public since I kind of feel that other people get more satisfaction from getting things done. I'm just catching up with others!

i think it was like a decade and a half ago, like i remember philips had this big campaign advertising their bias lit tvs to the point that all the fake tvs at ikea had lights installed behind them.
