There's a video of it with a "Codepink" watermark circulating on social media, being reposted on news-themed websites I'd never seen before.

The most credible source on this most recent arrest is New York Post, second to search result hits on TikTok and Twitter, but I'm not a nazi, I don't trust "news" shared on nazi-aligned websites, and I have these sites blackholed on my hosts files. The third most trustworthy source is Tucker Carlsons' super-far-right shitbox site.

BenJerry.com has an article about why they got arrested, from the quaint period of April 18th 2016, before we knew how bad things would get in the US. They, uh, don't have any other articles like that.

As for CodePink? They have a website, but none of the videos are on there. Instead, they're hosting this video on the "Heil Hitler is okay to say" website Instagram. My politics seem to align with CodePink but I don't know enough to be able to trust the veracity of their short-form video content.

I think the video is real, albeit possibly manipulated by being constructed from various small clips. It'd be a strange thing to fake with AI, as it'd be consistent with Ben Cohen's politics and history of activism.

But, fuck, the death of journalism is hitting really hard. Most things won't be this level of "probably real but only living on social media", and in a year or so, these kinds of videos will probably be really easy to fake.
