I've been using mechanical keyboards for the past several years, and I've come to realize growing up on laptop keyboards just means I prefer laptop keyboards. I've even tried switching to low profile keycaps, but I still prefer laptop keyboards.

I've been using a Macbook Pro at work and personally for the past two years now and I really enjoy the flat, short key travel a whole lot. I get ~120wpm on both my Macbook and my mechanical keyboard, but

My ideal keyboard is a TKL with a full set of arrow keys, not Apple's half-sized arrowkeys.

Since I liked Apple's laptop keyboards keys so much, I looked at Apple's $150 keyboard lacks the full set of arrowkeys and other nice keys, while their next keyboard up is $200 and includes a numberpad, which I dislike. I like that they can connect by USB or Bluetooth, and on Macs they have fingerprint authentication ("TouchID").

Dell's "Dell KB740" at least tells me there's a market for "keyboards that are like laptop keyboards", but it's not TKL and still has a bad set of arrow keys. Dell does at least have some products, like the KM5221W, which seem like a dead ringer for the $200 Apple keyboard, but at a much more palatable $40.

But now I turn the question to just_post: Does anyone here prefer laptop-style keyboards over mechanical keyboards, and if so, what's your favorite keyboard? I'm in the market and want your opinions
