Holy shit, that's the Maddie Blaustein (rest in peace). I don't know how I didn't know she voiced the President.

For context, Shadow the Hedgehog is a direct sequel to Shadow's story in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle and Sonic Heroes (with a lot of Bush-era war-on-terror themes that just kind of existed in every 00s era game by cultural osmosis). The President has a framed photo of Sonic and Shadow together.

This is funny, but what's even funnier is that this couldn't have happened in canon, even if you consider Sonic Battle as coming before Shadow the Hedgehog and not after. Almost every moment of Shadow's timeline is accounted for, from his introduction, to this moment.

Here are the possibilities:

1. Shadow fell to Earth, amnesiatic, but posed with Sonic in front of the White House before being eggprisoned in his egg-recuperacoon.

2. One of Shadow's clones from Sonic Heroes went on a totally separate adventure as a good guy, and posed with Sonic

3. (prevailing theory) The President himself photoshopped this image of Sonic and Shadow together.

It's really funny to imagine him hunched over a computer, clicking around in Photo Shop.
