I'm several missions in to Battletech, which I played non stop for months. Then I burned out on it.

Then I played through the first few story missions of TotK, and then stopped playing after I solved the mystery if the slime (Zora's sloppy puzzle). Same happened with mech warrior 5 but to be fair that is a fun but repetitive game.

Now I am in act three of bg3 and feeling the "do I really want to play this right now" vibes.

They're all such really good games and I do want to finish them but I just burn myself out.

a lot of people don't finish games it's fine. as long as you got what you needed out of them then it's all good

Oh I don't feel bad, just disappointed I don't get to see the end.

I'm trying to make myself not play them constantly so I don't burn out on them and can finish them.

for what it's worth most games have pretty bad or just underwhelming endings lol
