it's like stardew valley except there's only a small communal garden and ur only influence on it is in granting requests for soil purchases

despite being a commune, you have to make financial decisions because you exist in a capitalist context. you have to collect rent in order to build the funding you need for the basics like taxes and utilities, which means your members need to provide proof of employment and financial stability. one of your members starts using their personal space as a law office and you have no idea how to navigate that legally, and you have to decide whether to collect more rent from them or not. you have to hire mediators for interpersonal drama, and come to decisions based on incomplete information to kick people out for things they've done to other members

P.S. To contrast the difficulties of maintaining and managing a commune, there is also a "Normal Landlord" mode, where you are the Landlord of a bunch of college kids in a shitty house you own. Every in-game month, you get $2000, a "complaints" feed with only one action (ignore), and you pay $300 in land taxes.

In "Normal Landlord of a house of college kids" mode, you can use this money to pay for donations to Republican legal parties, time with prostitutes, alcohol, luxury goods, and upgrades for your own property.
