I crashed my motorcycle by going up a hill in the wrong gear, lugging the engine, having it die, and then falling down.

Then the brake lever broke off.

I rode it home with the broken lever. It was long enough to use but it was like three inches long.

Now I'm like.... Fuck man. This sucks. Just goes to show i still have a lot of practice i need to do. Need to be a lot better about making sure im in the right gear, this is far and away the biggest thing that keeps fucking me up, is managing the transmission.

First vehicle i ever owned with a manual transmission and im always having problems with it. Crashed twice already due to killing the engine trying to go up hills. First time was trying to do a hill start for the first time, last time was i rounded a hairpin corner that lead in to a really steep hill without downshifting enough and it bogged out. Then the engine died and when i tried to get back going, i didn't manage to get it in first while the engine was off. Doesn't seem to like to shift if the engine is nit running. So when i tried getting going again on the hill, i ended up killing it again and fell again.

Hard thing to practice too, ordinarily id just find a parking lot but where can i find a parking lot with a steep hill...
