cool idea: BOINC space heater

  1. super cool ASIC-filled computer rig is sent to your house and you set it up

  2. it does BOINC computations, CPU clock is controlled by a thermostat on the outside

  3. the heat generated is at least USEFUL

i don't WANT to get a space heater, i want COOL ELECTRONIC that DO SOMETHING USEFUL. maybe i should get a gaming rig or something. huff huff wah

Direct electrical heating is hella inefficient though. You can produce with one watt of electric power more than one watt of heating power.
