And in the time it takes for an armada from Turkey to get to Cyprus a messenger manages to get from Cyprus to Venice to warn them and request reinforcements for Cyprus which arrive before the Turkish forces do somehow.

Then the Turkish fleet is destroyed in a storm making the entire thing pointless.
