Transphobes talk a lot about "gender confusion", which generally isn't a thing.
EXCPET that, seeing Austin Powers at Way Too Young, gave me various misunderstandings.

The running gag is that he's an ugly dweebish British Guy, but characterized as a womanizing sexy James Bond type, where women will fall over themselves chasing his luscious good looks. I simply internalized that as "this is what an attractive man looks like".

I was young enough to know that there was a mysterious bodily fluid called "semen" that men would somehow emit from their testicles, and that this was very funny. When Austin Powers had his mojo removed using a comically large needle, I assumed this was a euphemism for semen, and that semen was a swirly glittery purple goop. You can imagine my disappointment in the coming years.

I was told "Dr Evil and Austin Powers are the same person", and I didn't understand that. I thought it was some deep commentary that they were the same, deep down, and not that they were just played by the same guy.
