listening to this song is always an amusing experience for me: without fail, when i listen to the album and this song comes in, i'd think, "ah yeah, it's not all bangers, isn't it". it doesn't have a strong melody, the beat's floaty. it sounds like the bgm in a level of a quirky late '90s platformer, which then ben gibbbard shakily sings over. but then, without fail, the second half of the song, the instrumental break comes in: specifically, the electric guitar comes in. finally, something with a strong sense of purpose, a nice melody you can latch onto, somehow interplaying with the quirky platformer ost. triumphant. no, i think the album give up by the postal service is somehow all bangers.
