My tragic backstory is that I was (1) molested at seven, (2) hackers took over my favorite animal crossing fansite when I was 10 and I swore to become really good at computer so this could never happen again and then I did that, and then (3) groomed ~15-18. And hence I am like if Batman had really strong opinions on pedophilia.

Over the past ~10 years I think we saw "pedo" weaponzied to a point of meaninglessness. Remember the 2018 Elon Musk "pedo guy" thing? That's crazy right? Maybe it was always an unduely weaponized term and I just became an adult in the past 10 years, or maybe it's kind of a meaningless term like "motherfucker" now.

Now we have Child Rapist Donald "My Friend Epstein Likes Young Girls And So Do I" Trump taking the white house again, and that's not even the 20th worst thing about him. And now Matt Gaetz, who had sex with a 17 year old girl he trafficked while he was 28 or so, is concerning!!

I already have pretty low opinions of how our culture normalizes pedophilia, but my understanding is things have gotten better in the past few decades. (Except anime, what is happening there? How is anime allowed?)

And now the "17 is basically fine" argument sounds like it's coming up? Who will expose themselves as a pedophile at Thanksgiving when the "Matt Gaetz" topic gets brought up? And "Supreme Court rules age of consent unconstitutional" is a feasible headline to hear in the next four years, right?

TLDR: Anyways, congratulations to pedophiles on their huge W. :(

P.S.: Apologies to victims of pedophiles on the huge L, sorry about the "congratulations to pedophiles" thing. I was joking about that, this actually sucks a lot and I'm writing this post because it brings up a lot of hurt personally.

P.P.S.: Does anyone know a character like Batman whose mythos is "childhood trauma creates a brooding figure who is cool and actualizes all the virtues of adulthood" without all the masculinity? Like a Girl Batman. Thanks in advance
