This is based on Severance up to S2E9, so this is a joke, but there are spoilers galore. Heads up.
Scene 1
Interior, superluxury birthing cabin -- Harmony stands in front of flames in the most menacing manner possible while a horrified Mark S., recently awakened, looks on. Devon stands by supportively.
"Cold harbor," Harmony said to Mark for the first time for the second time that day. "Is set to change the world."
The fear in Mark S.'s eyes softened at having the first orienting piece of new information. That was one of the files he was working on.
"In 2016, Lumon introduced to the unappreciating world its second finest invention," Harmony continued. The fire danced and glinted with Lumon's droplet logo on the resin coasters on the desk behind her.
"The Silicon Valley shell corporation we introduced it through was laughed out of existence. Humanity-" a word Harmony spoke with enunciated venom "- rejected a gift."
"Wait," Mark interrupted. "I need to know what is happening-"
"I'm telling you what is happening." Harmony snapped back. "You're not the only one here eager for exposition," she said, making eye contact with Devon, and briefly with the camera.
"Ether is not produced in a factory," Harmony said. "Kier and Imogen worked at a plant which produced spoons. But they stirred the vats which filled the air with mercy for the laborers. They were our Jack and Jill. Every factory under Lumon had such a vat."
Harmony closed her eyes, and brought her hands to her chest as she continued, almost contemplatively. "You have no idea what it does to a child to spend ten hours a day squeezing oranges, peeling bananas, preparing kale. Thanks to those ether vats, neither do I."
"And thanks to the Juicero," Devon added, filling in the gaps, "Neither would anybody else."
"Bingo was his name-O." Harmoney replied in the affirmative.
"And what does this have to do with Ms. Casey?" Mark S asked.
Scene 2
Gemma, in her pastel-mint pajamas, is sitting at a table. She receives a plastic bag about the size of a book. The hand which hands it to her is frail and white, and belongs to a body obscured by the composition.
The camera pans over the bag. It's a Lumon Juice, 2! pack, with the flavorway Cold Harbor, with a variety of flavors including "chamomile cookie", dog honey, tea-tree oil. Gemma looks up, making eye contact with someone just behind the camera.
The scene doesn't break, but instead some understanding fills her eyes, as she raises her eyebrows and gives an exasperated, "Okay," and uncorks the packet. She then squeezes the packet with her hands.
Inside, the lightly-saturated blue and red juices intermingle, and are expelled as a grey-purple upon the table, overflowing and pouring over.
"Again," an unrecognizable voice says behind the camera, with almost a pitiful affection. "Again, kid."
Scene 3
Gretchen, dressed in her officer uniform which I am choosing to interpret as something other than police because it makes me respect her more, and Dylan, dressed to spend the whole day at home, in the kitchen. A blender base sits on the counter without the upturned body.
"You did this last episode," Gretchen's pleading voice reached for the blender, but it was too late. The container was tipped over, and all the greens and goods that was meant for the breakfast smoothie were in the sink, wasted. Just like S208, something true Juice and Smoothie fans would have noticed. "Please, just talk to me-"
"No!" Dylan's voice shrieked. "I'm sorry I can't contain my emotions after I found out you cheated on me again and now I'm fucking unemployed!" The broccoli and oranges sat on the bottom of the sink.
"Would it be easier for you if all my emotions were just in a bag?" Dylan continued, "Yeah? And all those fruits and veggies were in a bag?"
"What?"
"And if you wanted, you could get my emotions out of me just when you see fit? You could squeeze them out of me whenever?"
"Dylan, what are you saying?"
Dylan turned away and sat down, putting his head into his hands. "God," he said, "I just need some juice."
